KRW Awards seeking nominations for Harvey Southam Award for Career Achievement in B2B publishing

The Kenneth R. Wilson Awards, one of Canada’s oldest and most prestigious publishing awards programs, recognizing excellence in Canadian business-to-business (B2B) publishing for over 60 years, is seeking nominations from the industry for the Harvey Southam Award for Career Achievement.
Deadline for 2015 nominations: April 15.
Named in honour of journalist Harvey Southam, founding editor of Equity magazine and longtime journalist at the Vancouver Sun, Vancouver Province and Winnipeg Tribune, winners of this award represent the highest standards of B2B publishing and are recognized for their contributions to the Canadian Business Media tradition of distinguished initiative, leadership and integrity.
The award is open to publishers, editors, designers, creators, circulation experts, marketing, sales and promotion professionals, production managers – in short, to everyone in the industry. It cannot be given posthumously.
Nominations are welcome from the entire Canadian B2B publishing industry, and must consist of a completed entry form and at least two letters of support from fellow industry members, attesting to the achievements and qualifications of the nominee.
The board of the Canadian Business Media Association determines the winner, and the award will be presented at the 61st annual Kenneth R. Wilson Awards gala, on June 2 at One King West Hotel in Toronto.
Previous winners of the Harvey Southam Award include Harvey Botting, Doug Bennet, Rolf Lockwood, Tom Davey and Jim Winsor.
